Advanced Analytics - Senior Statistician

 In this role, you will be responsible for:  

  • Proactively support a large scale tracking study program with Advanced Analytics and insight:
  •       o Respond to client business needs -- Guide planning, implementation, and interpretation of analyses in response to inquiries from key client stakeholders
  •       o  Proactively mine the database - the program is information rich and its potential underexplored
  •       o Develop the Team - consult and train team in appropriate statistical analyses
  •       o Build on insights gathered through the program to develop additional products
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of statistical deliverables in support of the Brand Strategy team
  • Provide the Brand Strategy Team with cutting edge Advanced Analytic support
  • Co-lead the development of a proprietary Morpace Automotive Brand Equity framework (or Brand Research Paradigm - BRP)
  • Develop common constructs for addressing similar problems (ex. Cross-consideration maps for visually showing key competitors, perceptual maps, bi-plots, etc.)
  • Provide ongoing analytic support for proposals and studies in the Non-Automotive space

Requirements

The requirements of this role are:

  • A Master's degree, preferably in Statistics, or demonstrable training and experience in quantitative data analysis
  • Applied expertise in developing and implementing multivariate methodologies such as segmentation techniques, predictive models, decision trees, SEM, PLS, choice models, forecasting, and other cutting edge analytical methods
  • 5+ years of work experience (preferably at a supplier organization in the primary research industry) in a highly analytical environment, performing complex statistical analyses and generating data-driven insights
  • Client-facing presence and ability to explain complex statistical techniques in easy-to-understand language

In this role, you will be responsible for:

•Planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing project activity to meet project goals within the prescribed time and funding parameters
•Designing, editing and verifying questionnaires, reports, presentations, and correspondence
•Monitoring custom tracking and ad hoc market research studies
•Maintaining communications with both internal and external clients
•Designing sampling and analytical plans, for review by senior staff
•Attend project and client meetings as necessary
•Maintaining accurate project records
•Monitoring project costs
•Conducting detailed analysis and report preparations
•Working on and managing multiple projects simultaneously
•Understanding industry issues in order to show expertise in automotive arena
•Some overtime may be required

 

Requirements

•Bachelor degree required
•5+ years of primary market research experience
•Excellent client/interpersonal skills
•Understand functions and applications of statistical software such SAS and/or SPSS, required
•Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
•Strong interpersonal/communication skills (written and oral)
•Excellent organizational skills/ability to work under tight deadlines
•Able to work in a team environment
