FRAUD ALERT - “Fake Check / Mystery Shopper Scam”

The Council of American Survey Research (CASRO) reports that there is a mystery shopping scam taking place in our Industry.  Individuals receive a letter and a check in the mail and they are asked to cash the check and send the money using Western Union or Money Gram.  These checks are not valid and should not be cashed.  If you have received this type of an offer, you should report it immediately to the U.S. Postal Service
