Farmington Hills, MI, November 24, 2010 – Morpace is proud to have been approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to conduct the MA-PDP CAHPS® survey.  Morpace has met all program requirements and is in complete compliance with the protocols specified in the MA-PDP CAHPS Quality Assurance Guidelines.  

The list of qualifications that Morpace has met for approval is extensive. It includes:

  • Relevant mixed-mode survey experience
  • Dedicated project management staff
  • Proven system resources for project administration including customer support
  • HIPAA compliant data handling and submission protocols
  • Demonstrated quality control procedures
  • Participated in MA-PDP CAHPS survey vendor training
  • Successfully completed post-training evaluation 

Morpace is one of just 13 NCQA-certified CAHPS vendors and one of six NCQA-certified HOS vendors.  As part of the small pool of vendors to be CMS-approved for administration of MA-PDP CAHPS, clients now have the option to conduct all mandated regulatory surveys through Morpace.

Beginning in 2011, CMS will require all MA and PDP contracts with at least 600 enrollees to contract with an approved survey vendor to collect and report MA-PDP CAHPS Survey data.

The measures derived from the MA-PDP CAHPS surveys are used by beneficiaries to help choose a MA or PDP contract, help contracts identify areas for quality improvement, and allow the public and research community to assess Medicare program performance. 

Medicare administrators and policymakers also rely on the measures to manage the program; devise, implement, and monitor quality improvement efforts; and make policy decisions.
