Excel and PowerPoint Specialist

Specifically we are looking for someone with advanced skills in Excel; an expert in formulas and functions. Responsibilities for the Excel & Design Specialist include but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support in designing/creating/developing client deliverables (such as: automated and linked Excel / PowerPoint reports that include complex graphs/charts/tables, design creative presentations, proposals) using the advanced features of Excel, PowerPoint, e-tabs, inetSoft.
- Proofreading
- Support research staff with all miscellaneous clerical duties (printing, copying, binding)
- Limited phone answering required
Requirements
- Associate degree or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years related experience.
- Highly proficient in MS 2003 and MS 2007, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Advanced Excel skill set including formulas and functions required.
- Attention to detail and excellent writing/grammar/proofreading required.
- Familiar with Internet, including web searches.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Able to work overtime when needed.
- Some travel required.
- Knowledge of inetSoft (Dashboards), e-tabs (Automated reporting), Adobe Photoshop, and/or InDesign, a plus.
- Must be fluent in English.

Survey Programmer
Description
Morpace Inc., a leading market research and consulting organization, has an excellent full time employment opportunity in the Irvine CA office for candidates with experience programming surveys, tabulations and reports for market research projects.
As a Survey Programmer you will be responsible for developing, checking, and maintaining CATI, CAPI, CAWI, and Mobile surveys using advanced scripting as well as the GUI interface. You will also need to utilize SPSS reports for surveys, SPSS custom tables and a variety of other internal and external programs to create files and reports. In addition, as a Survey Programmer you will be expected to write advanced scripts to customize and automate data collection, management and reporting for market research projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree, programming trade school preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years’ experience scripting surveys in SPSS Data Collection (Dimensions) or similar market research data collection software such as Confirmit, Voxco or Quancept
- 2+ years’ experience with Quantum, SPSS Reports for Surveys, SPSS Custom Tables or similar market research tabulation and reporting tools
- Experience with CSS, HTML and VBScript
- Experience with survey data cleaning, management and verification
- Ideal candidate will have the ability to write scripts to customize and automate the surveys, outputs and working environment of survey and reporting software
- Capacity to setup and manage hardware, WiFi routers and local network for traveling data collection systems. (Will provide training in this area)
- Proficient in math and programming logic
- Must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively within non-technical staff
- Must be willing to learn new programming tools as needed and work across a variety of software solutions
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Experience with market research or statistical analysis is preferred.
- Experience with the following is helpful: SPSS, SAS, VBA, Excel, Access, Javascript, AJAX/JQuery, .NET
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Setup and manage data collection units, servers, Internet access and routers for temporary data collection locations.
- Work closely with project managers and other programmers to plan, execute and verify project requirements. Provide recommendations and solutions.
- This position will require some travel and occasionally work a flexible schedule to support projects during evening and weekend hours.
- This position is intended for the Irvine CA office, but will also consider applicants in the Detroit MI area.

SQL Programmer
Description
Morpace Inc., a leading market research and consulting organization, has an excellent full time employment opportunity for candidates with experience in SQL/MySQL Database management and JavaScript programming to manage market research databases and reports.
As a SQL Programmer you will be involved in DB design and creation, data loading using Pentaho ETL software, data verification and running data aggregations. You will also use SQL aggregated data to create reports with various software tools including MS Office VBA, JavaScript, or Python. There is a web dashboard (BI) component of this position as well that will take SQL data and use JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python to create and load dynamically secured web pages delivered to clients using InetSoft or other BI Tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree, programming trade school preferred or equivalent work experience. Will consider candidates that are currently working toward a degree.
- 1+ years experience with SQL/MySQL relational databases
- 1+ years experience with Javascript programming in BI tools generating Web Reports or Dashboards
- Experience with CSS, HTML and Flash
- Experience with full database management cycle (design, extract, clean, aggregate and, report)
- Experience with Python programming to manipulate data, create databases and automate reports
- Proficient in math and programming logic
- Must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively within non-technical users.
- Must be willing to learn new programming tools and work with multiple technical tools as needed
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Experience with market research data strongly preferred
- Experience using ETL and Dashboard/BI reporting tools like Pentaho or INetsoft is preferred

Lead SQL Programmer

- Perform as a programmer and project coordinator in the design, implementation and maintenance of automated database management and reporting systems. This includes creating new relational databases from raw data, perform ETL procedures, act as a DBA and development of the reporting user interfaces.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and survey programmers to plan and execute automated reports from a relational database
- Design, develop and maintain relational databases that will be used by non-technical staff. Provide documentation and training on the use of the database tools developed and maintained.

- Must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively within project teams
- Use of other market research and/or cross tabulation software packages is preferred (i.e. SPSS, SAS, Sawtooth, Quantum, Dimensions, Wincross, Minitab)
